How to Reorganize Workspaces

  1. Increase the distance among employees by at least 6 feet (2 meters).
  2. In case of a limited space:
    1. Create physical barriers by putting objects, such as whiteboards, plant pots, and extra tables among employees.
    2. Reorganize the workstation of each employee.
    3. If relevant, spread the employees throughout the building
  3. Place visual cues about social distancing in spaces where many employees usually go, such as at entrances, reception areas, and in break rooms.

Modifying Existing Policies to Facilitate Social Distancing in the Workplace

  • Limit employee interaction by implementing:
    • Flexible Shifts
    • Work-From-Home
    • Alternate Break Periods
    • Online Meetings
  • Run essential operations only to decrease the chances of physical communication among employees.
  • Select one employee to operate shared equipment.
