Galit M. Sacajiu, MD, MPH

Dr. Galit M. Sacajiu graduated from New York University’s College of Arts and Sciences and continued studying at the NYU School of Medicine. She also completed an Internal Medicine Residency at NYU/Bellevue Hospital and Preventative Medicine training at the NYC Department of Health and the Columbia School of Public Health, where she earned a Master’s in Public Health.
Dr. Galit focused on social epidemiology and clinical medicine when she worked as a faculty member at Montefiore Medical Center (MMC) and Albert Einstein College of Medicine (AECOM). Since April 2010, she has been involved with the Haiti Medical Education (HME) Project. Today, she is guiding and supporting initiatives about coronavirus prevention.

Syed Farhan Ali Tirmizi, M, MSc

Dr. Syed completed his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery. He then continued his graduate degrees in Epidemiology and Biostatistics. AusAID had also granted him a scholarship for PhD in Epidemiology at the University of Melbourne.

Dr. Syed specializes in infectious diseases and immunizations. He has more than 20 years of experience in the field of public health. He has worked with the World Health Organization (WHO), UNICEF, Save the Children, Micronutrient Initiative, USAID, and Marie Stopes Society. Currently, he is an epidemiologist of Communicable Disease Control (CDC) at Alberta Health Services.
